Senate Passes $93.5 Billion Aid Package

Border security funding was not included and no offsetting cuts were made.

The Senate passed a supplemental package Tuesday morning. The measure would provide $60 billion in assistance to Ukraine, $14 billion to Israel, $9 billion to Gaza humanitarian assistance, and almost $5 billion to the Indo-Pacific.

After a $118 billion package that addressed border security with a daily immigration cap was voted down last week, the approved package includes neither. Members of the minority party made unsuccessful attempts to filibuster the legislation.

Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer described the package as “a downpayment for the survival of Western democracy and the survival of American values.”

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For Speaker Johnson and members of the House as the package is sent to the lower chamber for consideration.
  • For the Senate majority and minority leaders as they deliberate legislation to address the issues the U.S. faces.
  • For the peace of Jerusalem and wisdom for U.S. and Israeli officials.
